Document Description
San Luis Water District (SLWD) is a Central Valley Project water contractor. The proposed project is the introduction of up to 1,500 a.f. local groundwater within SLWD to the San Luis Canal portion of the California Aqueduct, which is part of the facilities jointly owned and operated by DWR and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. The introduced water will be conveyed and delivered through SLWD's turnouts in Reach 3 of the San Luis Canal to meet urgent irrigation demands of permanents crops within its service area. No lands will be fallowed as a result of this activity.
