Document Description
PCWA is proposing to construct a new intake structure between PG&E's South Canal and PCWA's Ophir Road pumping Station transfer basin. The proposed project includes construction of a gate structure and an intake structure on PG&E's South Canal and the construction of a gauging station adjacent to the South Canal. The project is a component of PCWA's Ophir Pump Station adjacent to the site. The project is necessary to allow PCWA to take and deliver water to and from South Canal as part of its raw water supply system. The primary purpose of the proposed facilities is to provide PCWA with an alternative supply point from PG&E's South Canal to supply the future Ophir Water Treatment Plant and Foothill Water Treatment Plant via the future Foothill Raw Water Supply Pipeline.
