The proposed project would provide a redundant supply of water to the future Ophir Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Foothill WTP via an intake connection between an existing transfer basin and South Canal to allow the supply or discharge of raw water to and from South Canal. This would include construction of an intake structure, gate structure, and gauging station along the PG&E South Canal.
