The project would illuminate the existing athletic fields at Hercules Middle/High School by installation of overhead lighting on light poles to increase the number of hours that the fields could be used by the schools and community members in the evenings. Installation of a new transformer, piers for the light poles, associated trenching and minor pavement repair, a new PA speaker system, the formalization of a 26-space parking lot, and repurposed outdoor area to provide volleyball and outdoor seating. Construction would commence in Fall 2009.
