The project includes the enhancement of floodplain and shaded riverine aquatic habitat (SRA) for special-status fish. The project will restore riparian woodland to the floodplain and create oxbow slough channels that connect to both the existing borrow pits and the Sacramento River to alleviate ongoing fish stranding. Large woody debris will be installed along the riverbank to improve SRA.
