The Proposed Project consists of replacing or retrofitting up to 37 instream structures identified as passage impediments to salmon and steelhead trout in the lower Calaveras River below Bellota Weir. The first phase of the project has been funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Anadromous Fish Restoration Program, Stockton East Water District, and the California Department of Fish and Game's Office of Spill Prevention and Response.
