This proposed Project involves adding one northbound and one southbound lane to US-395, for a total of four travel lanes (two northbound and two southbound) from PM R4.0 to PM 11.2. Project Activities include removal of vegetation, grading, and paving.
The Project will result in incidental take of 158 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia).
which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The
WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
