Document Description
Project consists of widening the existing Hwy 395 from one lane to two lanes in each direction. The proposed project will also provide a two-way-left-turn-lane, and standardize shoulders. The existing alignment will be widened approx. 2.68 meters (m) in each direction to accommodate 3.6m lanes, a 2.4m shoulder in each direction, and a 4.2m two-way-left-turn lane in the median. The existing Joshua Wash Bridge (BR No. 54-0524) will be replaced to accommodate the proposed roadway improvements. The bridge will replace the existing double cox culvert (10ftx4ft) and extend the bridge. The construction buffer for the bridgework allows a 50ft. perimeter around the bridge to allow machinery access for removing and replacing the structure. The existing culverts will be modified or relocated to accommodate the new lanes. There are 17 drainage systems that will require modification. All drainages on this project are roadside features and are no connected to any streams or ditches.
