Caltrans proposes a project to improve safety on SR 18/Big Bear Blvd in the City of Big Bear by widening the highway from Blue Water Drive to Pinion Drive (from PM 53.12 to PM 53.87) to provide 8 ft paved shoulders on the north side of the highway, and re-stripe the intersection to provide a left turn lane at the intersection of SR 18/Big Bear Blvd and Big Tree Drive (PM 53.485).
