Document Description
The proposed project is a hospital expansion on the west side of the existing Thornton Hospital on the UC San Diego east campus in La Jolla. The proposed project is a 10-story approximately 470,310 square foot hospital bed tower with capacity for 245 inpatient beds and a helicopter pad on top of the bed tower. The proposed project will also renovate 63,800 square feet of existing space in Thornton Hospital and construct a 35,900 square foot stand-along central utility plant to serve the hospital complex.
