Document Description
The proposed project is the improvement of the Wing Avenue flood control channel to alleviate flooding from the 100 yr storm event in the general vicinity of the project. The proposed channel configuration between Magnolia Avenue and the drop structure downstream of Wing Avenue (~2600 ft) will be widened and reconfigured to adequately convey 100 yr storm event. The channel will be earthen with a top width of 48 ft, 2:1 side slopes, and depth of 8 to 10 ft. Existing concrete box culverts will be removed and replaced with similar structures that are able to convey the 10 yr storm event.
