Document Description
The project at the Wing A of the Holderman Hospital includes upgrading the wing from Risk Level V to Risk Level III. Retrofit measures are intended to increase the building's ability to resist seismic load perpendicular to its length. Selected retrofit concepts include thickening existing concrete walls at three stories and adding footings at four locations. The original 30,000 square foot Wing A was constructed in 1947. The Holderman Hospital is part of a Historic District and is considered a historically significant building.
