Document Description
Improve the surface of the existing gravel parking and interpretive areas and modify interpretive panels service the Turtle Back Trailhead at China Camp State Park to meet accessibility standards in the "California State Parks Accessibility Guidelines." Grade existing parking and interpretive area surfaces; place and compact approximately 200 square feet of aggregate; pave with up to 2,500 square feet of asphalt concrete for parking (adjacent to North San Pedro Road); and strip parking area. Relocate two post-mounted 4 feet wide by 8 feet tall interpretive panels and two standard parking signs. Post will be buried up to deep. Reposition large rocks around the perimeter of the parking area border to prevent vehicle parking on vegetation and construct approximately 25 feet of up to one foot high stone retaining wall.
