Document Description
The project includes major upgrades to the existing fire alarm systems of eighteen buildings at the Sonoma Developmental Center. The work includes removing existing fire alarm systems and all related material and equipment and replacing with new fire alarm systems. The overall fire alarm system shall be an addressable type with manual and total coverage of automotive detection. A fire alarm control panel will be installed in each building. The fire alarm control panels will report via existing underground lines to new replacement central reporting equipment located in the Administration building. The project will renovate an existing state-owned facility, and will not involve an expansion of existing use.

This project is exempt because it consists of renovation of an existing State-owned facility with no expansion of existing use. Most modifications will occur within the existing building interiors.
