Document Description
The proposed project would expand cogeneration capabilities at the existing CUP. The existing plant produces 30 Mw of power. The expansion would add 15.25 additional MW or power for a new total of 45.25 MW of power. The proposed project includes approximately 5,000 gross-square-feet (gsf) of new building construction as follows: 1) an addition to the existing cogeneration plant of approximately 3,800 gsf to house a new combustion turbine generator and the waste heat recovery steam generation; 2) a second-story building expansion of the existing electrical room of approximately 1,200 gsf; and 3) associated utility connection along Voigt Drive to distribute the additional power to North Campus.
