Document Description
The proposed project will modernize existing elevator equipment into compliance with California Building Code, Chapter 7, including required hardware to meet the minimum 20 minutes fire rating. Where needed, new rood mounted chilled water fan coil units and elevator door smoke barriers (developed specifically to provide an unobtrusive, minimally invasive solution for smoke protection in historical restorations) will be installed. The existing fire alarm control panel will be upgraded; smoke detectors and convenience outlets will be replaced and added. All health and safety issues will comply with local, State and federal requirements.
