Document Description
DTSC has approved a variance for the Santa Clara County Household Hazardous Waste Program (SCCHHWP) from Section 67450.4(e)(2)(A), Title 22, California Code of Regulations. This section prohibits the bulking of hazardous waste oil-based paints, solvents, or gasoline during hours when household hazardous waste is being received at temporary household hazardous waste collection events. SCCHHWP would bulk flammable liquids during hours that the collection events are open to the public. The variance applies to non-Resource Conservation and Recovery Act waste only.
