Document Description
The project will integrate two rain gardens into existing sidewalks and onstreet parking areas, using curb cuts to direct stormwater into vegetated treatment basins. These green stormwater infrastructures will detain and treat urban runoff including pesticides, PCBs, mercury, and copper. To evaluate the effectiveness of the pilot project, project contractors will monitor water quality before and after stormwater flows. The project will use a series of three Internet podcasts to transfer technology to interested local government agencies.
