Document Description
The research team will work with state and local officials and other stakeholders to develop practical, science-based approaches to reducing GHG emissions and heat-island effects through changes in community design. They will also conduct targeted research to further quantify the benefits of various proposed 'cool community' approaches. Finally, they will coordinate with policy makers and conduct technical workshops to develop implementation standards and codes.
