Document Description
The main purpose of the project is to improve the water condition of the EFSF and Hidden Valley watersheds by reducing road density, improving road drainage, stabilizing stream-road crossing, and eliminating controllable sediment discharge sources. The project proposes to decommission roads that have a high risk of failure (sediment input) and to storm-proof roads to be retained by eliminating diversion potential reducing fine sediment input from invoard ditches and upgrading culverts for 100 yr flood flow. These goals are consistent with the fine sediment reduction targets established by the EPA's TMDL (total maximum daily load).
