CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0306-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Mare Island Dry Dock, LLC.
Project is limited to clamshell bucket dredging to remove accumulated sediment in front of Dry Docks 1-4 and Berths 12-15.
Mare Island Dry Dock (MIDD) will dredge approx. 80,000 cubic yards of sediment per year from the Mare Island Strait.
To accommodate the docking of deep draft vessels, MIDD will also perform three maintenance dredging episodes removing approx. 20,000 cubic yards per episode, for an annual total of 140,000 cubic yards.
