Document Description
Solano County is proposing to replace the existing single-span, 26.8-meter (88-foot) long, 4.9-meter (16-foot) wide, one-lane bridge with a new two-lane structure that will meet current bridge design standards. The new bridge will be ~ 25.0 meters (82 feet) long and 13.1 meters (43 feet) wide, and will be located on the same alignment over Suisun Creek. A temporary one-lane Bailey-bridge type detour across Suisun Creek will be placed immediately to the east of the existing bridge to maintain traffic flows during construction. Approximately 0.25 acre of permanent road right-of0way and 0.63 acre of temporary right-of-way for the temporary detour will be required to construct the new bridge. Additionally, permanent landscaping and maintenance easements will be secured on both side of the new bridge. Construction is anticipated in the summer of 2011.
