Document Description
The proposed project consists of the remediation of landslides in the Sierra del Oro neighborhood in the western portion of the City of Corona. There are a total of 6 sites located behind 5 residential properties on Juniper Drive and Highland View Drive that will be remediated, strengthened and re-planted to return the slopes to their previous status. The work will be designed to re-contour the slopes to a less steep grade and compact soils to resist water intrusion from slope irrigation. Two French drains will be installed to divert water from 2 slope areas that are being repaired. Native and drought-tolerant, deep-rooted plants will also be included to limit irrigation activities and to help shore up the slopes. Construction equipment anticipated to be utilized on the project includes a backhoe-mounted, segmented-wheel compactor or vibrating plate, or a small segmented sheep-foot drum roller and handheld compactor.
