Document Description
The project is the replacement of the Lawson Valley Bridge that crosses over Lawson Valley Creek, in the unincorporated community of Jamul in the east San Diego County. Replacement of the bridge is required because the bridge has been classified as structurally deficient. The replacement bridge will be single span, with a cast-in-place, post-tensioned, concrete slab superstructure with seat-type abutments on spread footings. The proposed bridge, ~62 ft long and 32 ft 8 inches wide, will accommodate 2 lanes of traffic. Project construction includes realignment of Lawson Valley Road both horizontally and vertically to align with the wider, higher proposed bridge. The bridge is designed to accommodate the high water surface elevation for a 100 yr storm event.
