The proposed amendments to Rule 1168 will update and refine adhesive categories, create new sealant and sealant primer categories, and modify exemptions and definitions to harmonize with the USEPA adopted Control Technique Guidelines for Miscellaneous Industrial Adhesives and with currently available products and product categories readily available in commerce. The proposed amendments will adjust the majority of the adhesive and sealant category VOC limits downward with 4 of the VOC limits adjusted upward. It will also eliminate emissions of chloroform, ethylene dichloride, methylene chloride, perchlorethylene, and trichloroethylene.
