Document Description
The applicants propose to build a bridge for a private driveway across Pescadero Creek. The bridge would consist of a concrete arch style two-span bridge ~100 ft in length using precast arch sections. At the bridge site, the stream channel briefly splits before joining downstream. Three bridge footings, each ~25 ft long, 6 ft wide, and 8 ft deep, would be built on either side of the stream channels. A backhoe, excavator, or similar equipment would be used to excavate the footing sites. Material excavated from the site would be used to backfill over the footings after construction, or disposed of where the material cannot reenter the stream channel. Silt fencing would be placed between the footing sites and the stream channel to prevent sediment, concrete, and other material from entering the channels. Upon completion of construction, all disturbed areas would be hydroseeded with native grass seeds and stabilized to prevent erosion.
