Document Description
The proposed Project is located on Terminal Island within the Port of Los Angeles. The proposed Project site encompasses Berths 302-306 and is bounded by Terminal Way and Seaside Avenue to the north, Navy Way to the east, Earle Street to the west and Pier 300 and the Outer Los Angeles Harbor to the south. The approved Project involved the expansion of the terminal by adding Berth 306, adding 41 acres of constructed but unimproved back land and the installation of 12 cranes. Terminal capacity would expand to 3.2 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) upon build out. The revised Project is now a smaller scope that would extend the lease an additional 16 years through 2043, replace eight existing cranes and reduce the previously assess throughput capacity to 2.4 million TEUs.
