Document Description
The Runway Safety Area Project (RSA) EA/EIR is intended to provide a focused review of proposed safety improvements required to be compliant with FAA guidance. The FAA has a program for airports to implement RSA changes by 2015. The analysis will include a review of potential effects on the existing environment from the proposed project which shall involve filling and grading land within the RSA. A focused joint EA/EIR document will be completed in accordance with CEQA and NEPA regulations. The preferred alternative will be based on a analysis of potential issues including safety, policy, economic, social, and physical environmental impacts.
