Document Description
Rush Meadows Dam is a 50 foot high concrete arch dam that is operated as part of the SCE hydroelectric power generation system under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Project No. 1389. This dam impounds Rush Creek and maintains minimum instream flows that replenish Gem Lake, which is the forebay to the penstock and powerhouse. Increased leakage from Rush Meadows Dam compromises its holding capacity. SCE proposes to seal leaks by installing a geomembrane liner and to conduct repairs, which will extend the operating life of the dam.
