Document Description
The proposed project involves the upgrade of the existing biosolids handling facilities at SVTP to provide operational flexibility and efficiency to the SVTP. SVTP provides tertiary-level of treatment and produces recycled water in accordance with the California Code of Regulations Title 22 for urban and agricultural uses. As part of the wastewater treatment process, SVTP removes and concentrates solid waste from wastewater creating biosolid sludge as residual material.

The project would involve the replacement of existing public structures and facilities where the new structure would result in negligible or no expansion of use. All construction would occur within a previously disturbed area located within the SVTP facility footprint. Existing structures and facilities will be replaced and reconstructed on the same site and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structures replaced.
