Reasons for Exemption
This project would protect naturally produced juvenile salmon and steelhead from being drawn into an irrigation diversion due to a current inadequate fish screen. The following runs and/or species would therefore not be affected by an inadequate diversion screen: spring-run, winter-run and late fall-run Chinook, Central Valley steelhead, and the Southern District Population Segment, North American green sturgeon.
