Document Description
The proposed project would excavate the footing trench parallel to the Petaluma River along the toe of the slope. The larger rocks would be placed in the footing trench. Rocks would be placed with their longitudinal axis normal to the embankment face and arranged so that each rock above the foundation course has a 3-point bearing on the underlying rocks. Foundation course is the course placed on the slope in contact with the ground surface. Bearing on smaller rocks which may be used for chinking voids wouldn't be acceptable. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2008-0078-3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
