Document Description
The project will involve repair of the Sanitation District's Interplant Gas Pipeline to ensure the structural integrity of the pipeline (e.g. pipe corrosion and potential gas leaks) and to comply with the Department of Transportation Office of Pipeline Safety regulations and Public Utility Commission requirements. The high pressure gas line conveys digester methane gas between the Sanitation District's two wastewater facilities (Plants 1 and 2) allowing for optimal use of the digester gas for power production and gas storage. The pipeline will be sip-lined with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
