Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes an emergency project to remove rocks that are naturally separating from a steep rock slope adjacent to State Route 88 at postmile R5.7 just east of Carson Pass in Alpine County. All work and staging would occur within existing State right of way. A Caltrans Director's Order authorizing emergency funding for this project pursuant to Section 10122(a) of the Public Contract Code - Failure or Threat of Failure of Transportation Facility - was approved on May 22,2009.
