Upgrade electrical service for camphost sites at Wild Cat and Azalea campgrounds, Hendy Woods State Park, by installing new electrical wire through 2" conduit in 170 feet long trenches, 6 inches wide x 24 inches deep, dug along existing conduit lines. The electrical lines will be connected to two new 50 AMP beaker boxes to be installed on 4 x 4 inch, 4 feet long posts placed at a depth of 2 feet at each restroom. Damage to tree roots will be avoided by hand digging around all roots that are 3" in diameter or greater, and backfilling trenches with soil within 48 hours of digging.

Project consists of the repair of an exiting public facility involving no expansion of use beyond existing, included as "utility repairs and minor upgrades" in the Department of Park and Recreation's list of exempt activiites in accordance with CCR Section 15300.4 and replacement of an existing facility, where the new facility will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the faciliy replaced and minor public alterations in the condition of land and vegetation which does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
