Document Description
The Union Pacific Railroad has proposed to demolish and replace the existing 10-foot, single-span bridge with a 40-foot, double-span bridge over Wells and a 315-foot, timber stringer trestle bridge with a 320-foot, 16-span bridge over Boynton Slough. The new bridges will be constructed of pre-stressed concrete slab stringers set on concrete caps and steel piles filled with concrete. Fiber optics cables currently attached to the bridge over Wells Slough will be relocated under Wells slough via a directional bore, approximately 400-ft long (WB Site No. 02-48-C0404, CIWQS Place No. 725584).
