Document Description
The Imperial Irrigation District is developing an Integrated Water Resources Management Plan (IWRMP) that will identify and recommend potential programs and projects to develop new water supplies and new storage, enhance the reliability of existing supplies, provide more flexibility for District water department operations, and maintain service levels within the District's existing water service area. Pending development of the IWRMP, the District has determined that an Interim Water Supply Policy (IWSP) for Non-Agricultural Projects (as such projects are defined in the IWSP) must be adopted in order to address proposed projects that may request a water supply from the District during the time that the IWRMP is still under development. The IWSP currently designates up to 25,000 acre ft per year of water for potential Non-Agricultural Projects within the District's water service area. The IWSP shall remain in effect pending the approval of further policies that will be adopted in association with the IWRMP.
