The Draft Inyo County 2009 Housing Element is designed to address the projected housing needs of current and future County residents and to comply with state law requiring amendment of the Housing Element by August 31, 2009 (Section 65580-65589.8 of the Government Code). The 2009 Housing Element is the County's policy document guiding the provision of housing to meet future needs for all economic segments of Inyo County, including housing affordable to lower-income households. The 2009 Housing Element identifies the policies and programs which the County will implement to ensure that housing in Inyo County is affordable, safe, and decent.
