Document Description
The Department of Water Resources proposes to retrofit the existing Crane Valley Dam (CVD) located at Bass Lake to meet current seismic standards for withstanding a Maximum Credible Earthquake and passing the Probable Maximum Flood. The retrofit project includes: installation of buttresses along the CVD, excavating overburden foundation materials to achieve buttress foundation conditions to meet Division of Safety of Dams (DSOD) standards, stabilizing the CVD's core wall, and installation of a quarry near the project site to provide materials for the project. Operations at the proposed quarry will include aggregate screening, crushing and handling operations.
