Document Description
The proposed project authorizes the amendment of the existing Ground Lease between the University of California (UC) and the Irvine Campus Housing Authority (ICHA) to add approximately 10 gross acres for the development of additional faculty and staff housing. The additional land area will accommodate approximately 32 detached for-sale homes, approximately 120 rental townhomes, related infrastructure, and community facilities ("Phase 2 Project"). Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Area 10 were evaluated in a Mitigated Negative Declaration adopted March 3, 2011. An Addendum to the Mitigated Negative Declaration documented minor technical changes or additions to the project, and determined that none of the conditions calling for the preparation of a subsequent EIR or negative declaration are present.
