Addendum No. 1 to Consideration of District Installation of Sewer Laterals to Individual Properties to be Served by the Sewer Collection System and New Sewer Al

Note: Addendum The District originally proposed to construct the wastewater treatment facility and the sewer collection system. Following the District's adoption of a MND and approval of the proposed project, the District proceeded with the detailed engineering to install the treatment and collection facilities, including the financing of these facilities. During this period of final engineering and financial planning, the District concluded that it would seek funding to install the sewer laterals to each individual property instead of leaving this task to the individual property owner. The District's engineer also identified a number of new sewer lines that will be required to serve the Phase 1 project area. Since the original evaluation of the proposed project did not include extension of laterals to each individual property and the additional sewer lines required to serve the Phase 1 project area, the District decided to evaluate the potential environmental effects of installing these additional facilities in a subsequent environmental document. Thus, the only proposed changes in the proposed project are: the installation of the individual property sewer laterals from the nearest sewer line/main to the existing septic tanks on individual properties; and the installation of additional or alternative sewer lines to ensure the whole of the Phase 1 project area is adequately served with a wastewater collection system.
