Document Description
The San Diego Unified School District proposes to replace the existing stadium restroom building at Point Loma High School with a new code compliant restroom building. In addition, the existing ticket booth and concession stand building will be replaced with new like-kind facilities. The proposed new buildings will replace the existing buildings and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity.

The proposed project is categorically Exempt under § 15302(c) - Replacement or Reconstruction of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. This project is considered exempt because:
1. The proposed project will be located on the high school campus in the area where the existing builds are located;
2. The proposed new buildings will replace the existing buildings and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity;
3. It will serve the existing student population;
4. The area within and surrounding the project site is not environmentally sensitive; and,
5. It does not have the potential to trigger any of the exceptions identified in CEQA Guidelines § 15300.2.
