Document Description
The project would develop eight alternative camping facilities (e.g., rustic, cabins, yurts, or tent cabins) in El Capitan State Beach. The park is located in Santa Barbara County off of Highway 101, approximately 17 miles west of the city of Santa Barbara. Facilities would be built within existing developed campsites in each of the four loops of the park campground. Campsites under consideration include: Loop A - #8, #11, #21, #25, #28; Loop B - #41, #43, #46; Loop C - #71, #73, #78, #79, #88, #91; Loop D - #93. Campsites #79, #88, #90 would be ADA accessible. The project would require minor grading of the existing campsites. Facilities would be built/placed on piers that would raise the floor off of the existing grade.
