Document Description
Riverside Unified School District is proposing to modernize Emerson Elementary School, which was first built in 1956. The proposed project involves replacing portable classroom buildings with new permanent two-story classroom structure; developing a new library building and converting the existing library back into two classrooms; and expanding the southern parking lot. A new bus loading area would be provided along the perimeter of the new parking lot. The new two-story classroom building would be developed on a slope that currently separates the school buildings from the ball field. The proposed project would result in no net change in the number of classrooms or capacity of the campus.
