Document Description
The FSSD Wastewater Treatment Plant Ultraviolet Disinfection Project is proposing to implement an ultraviolet disinfection project that would include the construction of a complete UV disinfection system with channels, all associated yard piping, site work, and appurtenances. The project would upgrade the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District's wastewater treatment plant electrical system to power the UV disinfection system with the provision for immediate or future onsite solar power generation. The solar power generation would offset some of the electrical demands of wastewater treatment plant operations; thereby decreasing the carbon footprint for energy use and consumption of the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District. The proposed project woul be located entirely on the wastewater treatment plant property which is within the City of Fairfield.
