Document Description
The FSSD Wastewater Treatment Plant Ultraviolet Disinfection Project involves the conversion of the current chlorine disinfection system to a state of the art UV disinfection system. The conversion will improve the disinfection system and eliminate the production of chlorine byproducts at the WWTP. The existing chlorine contact basin will remain on-site; however, a new UV system will be installed and the filtered effluent will be treated through the UV system prior to discharge. The proposed project will not increase the WWTP capacity; instead its purpose is to improve effluent water quality.
