- The proposed project will: Construct a partial cloverleaf interchange at the SR 99/Elverta Road intersection, to replace the current at-grade signalized intersection; Widen Elverta Road to four through lanes within the State access control limits (Elverta Road is currently a two lane roadway); Caltrans and Sacramento County standards will be incorporated into the project improvements alone Elverta Road; Realign the existing southbound lanes of SR 99 to fit under the overcrossing; Construct a 6 ft wide sidewalk on the north and south sides of Elverta Road; Realign the existing drainage/irrigation ditches just outside the proposed State right-of-way limits, adjacent to the diagonal on- and off-ramps; Install underground and overhead power lines; and Acquire ~ 41 acres for road right-of-way.
