The project proposes a General Plan Amendment, Local Coastal Program Implementation Plan Amendment, and Encinitas Ranch Specific Plan Amendment to allow an increase in the overall maximum floor area permitted for the existing Regional Commercial Center from 695,000 sf to 750,000. If these amendments are approved, the Target Corporation would propose Design Review and Coastal Development Permit applications to demolish the existing 10,796 sf garden center and construct a 16,239 sf building addition to the Target store.
