Document Description
Caltrans proposes to add part-time high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes on U.S. 101 between the City of Carpinteria and the City of Santa Barbara (0.2 miles south of Bailard Avenue overcrossing to Sycamore Creek). Work includes reconstruction of two interchanges at Sheffield Drive and Cabrillo Boulevard. The primary purpose of the project is to reduce existing congestion and delay on U.S. 101. The original NOD and project approval were rescined March 30, 2016. A Revised EIR was prepared to address a potential traffic impact to intersections, as well as cumulative traffic impacts. Both the final revised EIR and the unchanged portions of the 2014 Final EIR are covered by this NOD.
