The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to add a new High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane on Route 101 in each direction within the project limits. The new lanes are expected to be part-time HOV lanes, meaning that the added lanes will operate as general purpose lanes during off-peak periods of weekdays and on weekends.
